About
Live music for movement, healing, and collective expression.
Akuandub is a live music and movement project exploring the intersection of sound, body, and collective experience. Blending organic instrumentation with electronic elements, the project creates immersive mid-tempo soundscapes designed for movement, presence, and connection.
More than a performance, Akuandub is a facilitated dance experience. Each session becomes a co-created journey where people are invited to participate through movement, rhythm, and expression, transforming the dancefloor into a shared space of release, exploration, and connection.
Founded in 2020 by longtime friends Caco Law and Marcelo Rhythm Starz, Akuandub emerged in Australia and quickly became part of the festival circuit, performing at gatherings such as Elements Festival, Earth Frequency, Rabbits Eat Lettuce, Youniverse, and INITIATION.
Now rooted in Brazil and evolved through Australia, this chapter deepens the focus on ritual, healing, embodiment, and community. Marcelo remains a founding member based in Australia and is not part of this current chapter, while Cris Roxo joins as a new member bringing featured vocals to the project.
